Momela national park which is also known as Arusha National Park, is situated between Mount Meru and Mount Kilimanjaro. Arusha National Park extends over 542 square kilometers and rises from Momela at 1500 meters to Mount Meru’s top at 4566 meters. Ngurdo to Crater and Momela lakes were originally part of the park when it was first established in 1960; Mt. Meru was added to the park in 1967. The geography, which spans from swamp to forest, affects the flora and wildlife in different ways. The dry season, which lasts from July to March, is the ideal period for travel. June through February are the ideal months to climb Mount Meru (although there are some rains in November). On clear days, nearly every area of the park offers breathtaking vistas of Mount Kilimanjaro and Mt. Meru. The best views of Mt. Kilimanjaro are from December to February. You will stroll through a tropical jungle and observe wildlife from the automobile. The most astounding aspect is that Meru’s crater, which is situated inside the park and is Tanzania’s second-highest mountain and Africa’s fifth-highest peak, can be reached on foot. You should include this amazing event in your Tanzanian travels! Following your walking safari, a car will take you to the Momela lakes, the farthest point of the park, where you may view pink flamingos along with many other creatures.
Today after breakfast you will drive to Arusha National Park in Arusha for the game drive.

The small national park includes the slopes, summit, and ash cone of Mt. Meru, the Momela Lakes, Ngurdoto Crater, and the lush highland forests that blanket its lower slopes.
